Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging exams (X-ray, fluoroscopy, C-arm) following established department and radiologist protocols
• Ensure accurate image acquisition and maintain radiation safety practices consistent with ALARA standards
• Verify orders and identify patients using two means of identification while providing clear patient education about procedures
• Document patient history, informed consent, charges, and exam details in EHR and ensure prior studies are available for interpretation
• Operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment, contacting service engineers when needed to minimize downtime
• Assist in OR imaging and collaborate with clinical teams to support safe, efficient procedures
• Cross-train and assist other imaging modalities as needed to support department needs
• Support clerical tasks, patient transport, inventory management, and contribute to performance improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program (required)
• ARRT registration in Radiology (R) (required)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
• Ability to pass background check, pre-employment drug screen, and (if applicable) breath alcohol test
• Must be at least 18 years old (21 for driving-required roles) and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Preferred: hands-on experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist and cross-training in CT, MRI, DEXA, or Mammography

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong image acquisition and radiographic procedure skills (X-ray, fluoroscopy, C-arm)
• Thorough understanding of radiation safety and ALARA principles
• Proficiency with EHR systems and imaging systems (PACS, RIS/HIS)
• Patient identification, education, and safety-focused bedside manner
• Equipment operation and basic troubleshooting with ability to escalate service needs
• Infection control practices and adherence to organizational policies
• Ability to take initiative, work independently, and support team-based workflow
