Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead the NICU nursing team during your shift, guiding patient care and workflow
- Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges with the interdisciplinary team
- Provide direct, hands-on neonatal care and ongoing assessment for critically ill infants
- Mentor and support bedside staff, fostering a culture of safety and learning
- Communicate effectively with families, offering compassionate updates and education
- Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to unit policies and best practices
Qualifications
- Active RN licensure required
- Experience working in a NICU setting; demonstrated charge nurse or leadership experience preferred
- Comfortable working as a traveler and adapting to new clinical environments
- Strong communication and team coordination skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Neonatal clinical assessment and critical care fundamentals
- Leadership and team coordination in a fast-paced unit
- Family-centered care and clear family communication
- Accurate clinical documentation and adherence to protocols
- Ability to prioritize and triage in urgent situations
