Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate nursing care to pediatric clinic patients following established standards and LPN scope of practice.
Perform patient assessments and take accurate vital signs to support clinical decision-making.
Triage patient calls and act as the primary liaison between patients, providers, and clinic staff.
Process prescription refills and complete necessary prior authorizations promptly and accurately.
Support and direct CNAs and coordinate with schedulers to ensure smooth clinic flow.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members — Providers, Coordinators, Clinical Managers/Supervisors, and RNs — to meet patient needs.
Maintain thorough clinical documentation and follow state/federal continuing education requirements.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (LPN)
Current State LPN license required
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
Comfortable performing pediatric assessments, triage, and medication administration within LPN scope
Ability to supervise CNAs and coordinate with schedulers; strong communication and teamwork skills

Education

Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (LPN)

Knowledge & Skills

Patient assessment and pediatric vital signs
Telephone triage and patient communication
Medication administration and prescription refill processing
Prior authorization workflow and prior authorizations processing
Clinical documentation and interdisciplinary team collaboration
Basic Life Support (BLS) competence
