Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, individualized nursing care to SNF residents in collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary team
• Perform thorough patient assessments and notify charge nurse/physician of abnormal findings
• Administer medications safely following facility policy and maintain accurate narcotics control documentation
• Perform clinical procedures such as EKGs, IV starts, blood draws and specimen collection with precision
• Document assessments, interventions and patient responses clearly and promptly in the record
• Respond to emergencies, initiate resuscitation measures as indicated and follow up documentation
• Educate patients and families on care plans and promote infection control and safety practices
• Support continuity of care by participating in end-of-shift walking rounds at 06:30 AM/PM and effective handoffs
• Assist with orientation and ongoing staff education, and collaborate with other departments as needed

Qualifications

• Current California LVN license in good standing
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Experience or competence in medication administration, IV starts, blood draws and EKGs
• Strong assessment skills, good physical stamina, and ability to work night shifts
• Clear English verbal and written communication skills
• Dependable with a history of good attendance and a team-oriented attitude
• Willingness to wear Caribbean Blue scrubs as required for the assignment
• Availability for a 13-week contract (assignment dates: 2025-12-30 to 2026-03-31)

Education

• Vocational Nursing diploma or certificate (LVN program)
