Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating schedule; includes every-other-weekend and holiday availability, with 2 Mondays / 2 Fridays rotation (Night)

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to TCU/step-down patients, prioritizing safety and recovery
- Assess patient status continually and intervene promptly for sepsis, respiratory compromise and cardiac instability
- Administer and titrate cardiac drips and vasoactive medications safely and accurately
- Manage advanced respiratory support including BIPAP, CPAP and high-flow oxygen therapies
- Monitor telemetry continuously and interpret cardiac rhythms to identify changes early
- Perform bedside procedures as needed and collaborate with Cath Lab/ICU for post-procedure recovery
- Document patient care thoroughly in Expanse and participate in mandatory shift huddles and bedside shift reports
- Work as a team player — communicate effectively with interdisciplinary staff to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) with at least 2 years of clinical experience (preferably step-down/PCU experience)
- Demonstrated experience with Step-Down care, telemetry monitoring and cardiac drips (e.g., diltiazem, amiodarone, dobutamine, milrinone)
- Hands-on experience with BIPAP/CPAP and high-flow oxygen therapies
- Current ACLS certification (required)
- Comfort managing sepsis care and bedside cardioversion recovery
- Familiarity with documentation in Expanse and experience with common pumps and monitors is a plus
- Willingness to work nights, every-other-weekend and holiday coverage
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry interpretation and continuous cardiac monitoring
- Sepsis recognition and management
- Administration and titration of vasoactive/cardiac drips
- Advanced respiratory support (BIPAP, CPAP, High Flow)
- Post-procedure recovery (post-cath without intervention) and occasional bedside cardioversion care
- Experience with ZOLL monitors, Baxter and Kangaroo pumps, Hillrom and Centrella specialty beds
- Strong bedside communication, handoff (BSSR) and teamwork skills
- Proficiency with Expanse electronic documentation
