Shift Type: Rotating nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM; schedule varies with typical rotation and every 3rd weekend required (Night shift)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care for PCU patients, including cardiac and post-surgical cases
- Perform continuous telemetry monitoring and respond promptly to changes in cardiac rhythms
- Administer and titrate cardiac drips safely (e.g., Cardizem, Amiodarone, Primacor, Dopamine) per unit protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans to support recovery
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the patient record
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and uphold safety standards
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) qualification (RN - PCU specialty)
- Minimum of 2 years clinical experience (telemetry/PCU or similar high-acuity setting)
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications (must-haves)
- Proven telemetry experience and comfort interpreting cardiac rhythms
- Experience caring for cardiac and post-surgical patients and managing cardiac infusions
- Strong teamwork, time management, and communication skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
- Cardiac patient care and post-surgical care
- Experience with PCU workflows and patient ratios (4:1)
- Familiarity with cardiac drips and titration protocols
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork and time-management abilities
- Basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS)
