Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Day); may require occasional evenings/on-call (1-2 nights per week) and 1 weekend per month; weekend team available for 12-hour coverage as needed
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Scrub for cardiovascular (CV) and general surgery procedures, ensuring safe, efficient case flow
- Prepare and maintain sterile field, instruments and equipment for a variety of cases including robotics and ortho
- Verify instrument counts and assist with setup, turnover and cleanup of OR suites
- Document case details accurately in the MediTech EMR and communicate updates to the surgical team
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, RN circulators and anesthesia to optimize patient safety
- Support on-call and emergency cases when needed with calm, skillful response
- Help train and mentor teammates when opportunities arise, sharing best practices in scrub techniques
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum of 1 year of OR surgical technologist experience (CV scrub experience strongly preferred)
- Proven ability to scrub cardiovascular and general surgery cases; ortho and robotic experience a plus
- Familiarity with MediTech or similar EMR systems preferred
- Strong teamwork, communication and attention to sterile technique
Education
- Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program or equivalent; CST certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Advanced scrub techniques and sterile processing
- Cardiovascular (CV) surgery case familiarity (CABG, valve procedures)
- General surgery, ortho and robotic procedure experience
- Proficiency with MediTech EMR documentation
- Instrument knowledge, counts and OR turnover
- Calm decision-making in high-pressure or emergency situations
- Excellent communication and teamwork in multidisciplinary OR environments
