Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, skilled direct patient care on the medical-surgical floor
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document patient status accurately
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and follow patient care plans
• Perform thorough assessments and escalate changes in condition promptly
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and safe patient transfers with attention to detail

Qualifications

• Current LPN or LVN licensure in the state of assignment (or compact/license as required)
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience, with med-surg experience preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification required; ACLS preferred or as required by facility
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening
• Strong clinical judgment, reliable documentation skills, and a collaborative attitude

Education

• Practical Nursing diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of an accredited LPN/LVN program

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of med-surg standards of care and medication administration
• Skilled in electronic charting and accurate clinical documentation
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively during 12-hour shifts
• Comfortable with IV medications and common med-surg equipment
• Strong communication skills for patient education and team collaboration
