Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients thoroughly using age-specific criteria and clinical judgment to guide care
• Develop individualized care plans and implement evidence-based interventions
• Monitor telemetry and interpret heart rhythms to detect and respond to changes quickly
• Administer and titrate cardiac medications safely (e.g., Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Heparin) and evaluate patient response
• Recognize signs and symptoms of stroke and act promptly to escalate care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and assist in teaching non-RN staff when appropriate
• Document patient status and interventions accurately in the MediTech EMR
• Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Ohio (required)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (required)
• Current BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications (required)
• Competency with telemetry and heart rhythm interpretation (required)
• Comfortable administering and titrating cardiac medications with demonstrated knowledge
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to recognize changes in patient status
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness to float to other units within scope of practice
• MediTech EMR experience preferred
