Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality telemetry and med/surg nursing care for ED-hold patients and telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret EKGs to detect and escalate arrhythmias or changes in condition
• Administer medications safely and document all care accurately in the Meditech EHR
• Perform and maintain IV access, central line care, urinary catheter care, and NG tube management
• Manage continuous bladder irrigation when indicated and monitor intake/output closely
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Maintain patient ratios and prioritize tasks to safely care for up to 4-6 patients per assignment
• Provide patient and family education with empathy and clear communication

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Minimum 1 year acute med/surg/telemetry experience within the last year (required)
• Ability to safely manage 4-6 patients; strong clinical judgment and prioritization skills
• Telemetry experience preferred (2+ years preferred for PCI and post-op CABG care)
• Comfortable with Meditech EHR documentation
• Experience with IV insertion, central line maintenance, urinary catheter care, NG tube care, and continuous bladder irrigation

Education

• Active RN license (required)
• Nursing degree (ADN or BSN preferred)
