Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and continuously monitor telemetry patients to detect changes early and intervene promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document care in Meditech
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate optimal care
• Perform thorough handoffs and maintain accurate patient records to support continuity of care
• Prioritize patient safety and advocate for high-quality, compassionate care at every touchpoint
• Manage patient assignments in a fast-paced IMCU environment, adapting to changing acuity and staffing
• Support unit workflows by floating to other areas as needed and assisting with team-based tasks

Qualifications

• Active RN (Registered Nurse) credential
• BLS (Basic Life Support) — required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIH) certification — required
• IMCU (Intermediate Care Unit) experience — required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) — preferred
• Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience
• Willingness to work every other weekend as part of the unit schedule

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and intermediate care clinical skills
• Experience with Meditech electronic medical record
• Comfort managing patient ratios up to 1:4 or 1:5 depending on staffing
• Strong time management and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced unit
• Clear, open communication and teamwork-focused approach
• Commitment to patient safety, compassionate care, and positive attitudes
