Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to med-surg telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac telemetry and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and implement patient care plans
• Administer medications and manage infusion devices safely and accurately
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, procedures and discharge plans
• Document assessments, interventions and patient responses accurately in Sunrise EMR

Qualifications

• Active RN license (required)
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience (telemetry or med-surg experience preferred)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Demonstrated telemetry competency and comfort with moderate-acuity patients
• Experience with Sunrise EMR strongly preferred
• Ability to work every other weekend and float to med-surg telemetry units as needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Med-surg telemetry patient management
• Familiarity with Sunrise EMR documentation
• Experience with Alaris infusion pumps, bladder scanners, chest tube drainage systems, Dinamaps and other unit equipment
• Cardiac care exposure and comfort managing vascular and bariatric patient populations
• Strong teamwork, communication and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment
