Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic and intraoperative ultrasound exams in the operating room setting
• Operate and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment and accessories to ensure clear, diagnostic images
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative staff to support patient care
• Prepare patients and maintain a safe, sterile imaging environment in the OR
• Document images, findings, and patient information accurately in the medical record
• Adhere to departmental protocols, infection control, and safety policies to protect patients and staff
• Prioritize urgent imaging needs and adapt quickly to the dynamic pace of the OR

Qualifications

• ARDMS credentials in Abdomen and OB/GYN required
• Current unencumbered Oregon Sonography license required
• Healthcare Provider BLS required
• Experience in a hospital setting preferred
• Ability to work days with varied scheduling and occasional weekends

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong ultrasound and sonography technique for abdomen and OB/GYN studies
• Comfort working in the operating room environment and with perioperative teams
• Familiarity with diagnostic imaging modalities including X-Ray, Fluoroscopy, Bone Density, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, PET-CT and Digital Mammography
• Excellent patient care, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to operate imaging equipment and follow quality control procedures
