Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT exams including ER CT, trauma CT, CTA and stroke protocols with accuracy and speed
• Operate and optimize GE 64-slice CT equipment to produce diagnostic images
• Collaborate with ED and radiology teams to prioritize emergent studies and expedite patient care
• Document exams and findings in Meditech accurately and timely
• Adhere to safety protocols and radiation dose-reduction techniques to protect patients and staff
• Float to other areas as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork during busy periods
• Maintain equipment and supply readiness, reporting any issues promptly to minimize downtime

Qualifications

• ARRT (CT) certification — required
• Minimum 1 year of CT technologist experience; ER CT, trauma CT, CTA and stroke experience highly preferred
• Experience with Meditech or similar documentation systems
• Familiarity with GE 64-slice CT equipment
• Comfort working night shifts and weekend coverage on a travel assignment
• Able to float to other units as needed and adapt to changing clinical needs

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven CT imaging skills including protocol selection and contrast administration familiarity
• Strong triage and prioritization skills in high-acuity/ED environments
• Proficiency documenting in Meditech or equivalent electronic health record systems
• Technical knowledge of GE 64-slice CT scanners and routine troubleshooting
• Excellent communication with multidisciplinary teams and compassionate patient interaction
• Ability to follow radiation safety and infection control guidelines
