Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT exams including ER CT, trauma CT, CTA and stroke protocols with accuracy and speed
- Operate and optimize GE 64-slice CT equipment to produce diagnostic images
- Collaborate with ED and radiology teams to prioritize emergent studies and expedite patient care
- Document exams and findings in Meditech accurately and timely
- Adhere to safety protocols and radiation dose-reduction techniques to protect patients and staff
- Float to other areas as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork during busy periods
- Maintain equipment and supply readiness, reporting any issues promptly to minimize downtime
Qualifications
- ARRT (CT) certification — required
- Minimum 1 year of CT technologist experience; ER CT, trauma CT, CTA and stroke experience highly preferred
- Experience with Meditech or similar documentation systems
- Familiarity with GE 64-slice CT equipment
- Comfort working night shifts and weekend coverage on a travel assignment
- Able to float to other units as needed and adapt to changing clinical needs
Knowledge & Skills
- Proven CT imaging skills including protocol selection and contrast administration familiarity
- Strong triage and prioritization skills in high-acuity/ED environments
- Proficiency documenting in Meditech or equivalent electronic health record systems
- Technical knowledge of GE 64-slice CT scanners and routine troubleshooting
- Excellent communication with multidisciplinary teams and compassionate patient interaction
- Ability to follow radiation safety and infection control guidelines
