Candidate Pay Rate: $51 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and triage patients quickly and compassionately in a high-volume emergency department
- Deliver evidence-based nursing care, administer medications, and operate unit equipment safely
- Document patient care accurately in Cerner to ensure continuity and quality
- Coach and provide real-time feedback to colleagues to strengthen team performance
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for trauma, stroke, and medical patients
- Maintain patient experience standards (AIDET, respectful communication, and ongoing updates)
- Adapt to floating within all ED sections and support staffing needs during busy periods
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Minimum 2 years nursing experience, with at least 1 year in an ER setting
- Experience in a Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED preferred
- Previous HCA experience is a plus
- Required certifications prior to start: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
- ENPC must be obtained within 90 days of hire
- Strong teamwork mentality and ability to coach/offer feedback in real time
Education
- Active RN license required; nursing diploma, ADN, or BSN as applicable for licensure
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency with Cerner documentation system
- Familiarity with Baxter infusion pumps and GE patient monitors
- Skilled in acute/trauma and stroke assessment (NIHSS experience)
- Ability to manage high patient ratios and fast-paced ED workflows
- Excellent communication, patient experience focus, and cultural sensitivity
- Comfortable working in a large, diverse community and multi-language environment
