Shift Type: Rotating nights (various days, includes 4 weekends per schedule), 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM NOC
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $32 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care for med-surg and rehab patients
- Perform wound care, incision dressings and Foley catheter care with confidence
- Administer medications and document care accurately in Meditech/CareTools
- Assist with transfers and use equipment such as Hoyers, wheelchairs and walkers safely
- Collaborate with therapy and nursing staff to develop and follow patient care plans
- Monitor patient status, report changes promptly, and support smooth handoffs
- Champion patient safety and infection control practices on every shift
Qualifications
- Active LVN/LPN license (TX) required
- Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience (Med Surg or rehab strongly preferred)
- Current BLS certification required
- Experience with Meditech and CareTools is a must-have
- Comfortable with wound care, transfer assistance and common med-surg procedures (Foley, trach suction, etc.)
- Able to work nights and meet weekend coverage requirement (4 weekends per schedule)
- Organized, collaborative, and ready to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
Education
- Completion of an accredited Vocational Nursing (LVN/LPN) program; diploma or certificate required
Knowledge & Skills
- Meditech electronic charting experience
- CareTools familiarity
- Strong med-surg and rehabilitation nursing skills
- Wound care and incision dressing techniques
- Safe patient handling and transfer skills (Hoyer lift experience helpful)
- Clear communication, teamwork and time management
- Ability to follow unit policies and maintain professional dress code (galaxy or royal blue scrubs preferred)
