Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform MRI exams, both contrast and non-contrast, delivering clear diagnostic images with care and precision
- Operate GE MRI equipment confidently and follow unit protocols to ensure patient and staff safety
- Administer MRI contrast agents per facility policies and monitor patients for reactions
- Position patients and use best practices to optimize image quality and patient comfort
- Collaborate with radiologists, technologists and clinical teams to support timely, accurate diagnoses
- Document procedures and patient information accurately in Cerner EMR
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and report any technical or safety issues promptly
- Provide compassionate patient education and clear communication throughout the imaging process
Qualifications
- MRI registered - Required
- Required certifications in MRI as listed by the unit
- Minimum 2 years of MRI experience
- Breast MRI experience - preferred
- Familiarity with GE MRI systems and Cerner electronic medical records - preferred
- Comfort working day shifts with rotating weekends
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of MRI protocols and contrast vs non-contrast imaging
- Proficiency with GE imaging equipment
- Experience documenting in Cerner EMR
- Patient positioning and comfort techniques to optimize image quality
- Understanding of safety procedures and contraindications for MRI
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a collaborative team
