Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care to surgical patients
• Prepare the operating room and ensure sterile technique is maintained throughout procedures
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the perioperative team to optimize patient outcomes
• Monitor patients intraoperatively and communicate changes promptly to the team
• Participate in surgical counts, instrument and equipment checks, and documentation
• Mentor and support colleagues while contributing to a positive, team-focused environment

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license - ability to meet state licensure requirements
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room (OR) experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• CNOR certification preferred but not required
• Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced surgical setting

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of perioperative nursing principles and sterile technique
• Familiarity with surgical instruments, procedures, and OR workflows
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in multidisciplinary settings
• Proficiency with clinical documentation and electronic medical records
• Ability to prioritize tasks and remain calm during high-acuity situations
