Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Triage and assess emergency patients quickly and accurately to prioritize care
- Stabilize and treat acute conditions using evidence-based nursing practices
- Administer medications and treatments safely while monitoring patient responses
- Collaborate closely with physicians, techs and the interdisciplinary team to deliver coordinated care
- Document assessments, interventions and outcomes clearly in the patient record
- Provide patient and family education with compassion and clarity during stressful moments
- Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives to improve ED outcomes
- Maintain readiness for high-acuity situations and support a culture of safety
Qualifications
- Active RN licensure (or ability to obtain NC licensure/compact privileges)
- Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience (emergency department experience strongly preferred)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- Current certifications and training as required by facility (trauma/TPN/triage training a plus)
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
- Strong critical thinking, prioritization and communication skills in high-paced settings
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Emergency triage, rapid assessment and bedside stabilization
- IV insertion, medication administration and critical care monitoring
- Proficient documentation in electronic health records
- Ability to communicate clearly with patients, families and the care team
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, often unpredictable environment
- Teamwork, adaptability and calm decision-making under pressure
