Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based postpartum and mom-baby nursing care to patients and newborns
• Monitor maternal and neonatal status using fetal monitoring and non-stress tests to ensure safety
• Administer medications and manage IV drips, including insulin, magnesium and heparin, with precise documentation
• Perform accurate, timely documentation in the EMR (Meditech and CPN) to maintain continuity of care
• Educate and support new parents on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding basics, newborn care and discharge planning
• Collaborate with physicians, lactation consultants and multidisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care
• Maintain patient ratios and prioritize care based on acuity to deliver safe, high-quality outcomes

Qualifications

• Active RN (Registered Nurse) licensure (able to practice in the assignment state)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience (postpartum/antepartum or similar maternal-child experience preferred)
• Proven experience with medication administration and managing drips (insulin, magnesium, heparin)
• Comfortable performing fetal monitoring and non-stress tests
• Strong communication skills and a teamwork-oriented attitude
