Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality medical-surgical nursing care to adult patients
• Assess patient condition, implement care plans, and evaluate outcomes
• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient-centered care
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
• Document patient status, interventions, and progress in the medical record with clarity
• Respond quickly and effectively to changes in patient condition and clinical emergencies

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee or ability to obtain licensure prior to start
• Minimum 2 years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience (as listed in the job details)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS/PALS as applicable or preferred by site
• Current vaccinations and ability to pass background check and drug screen
• Strong clinical judgment, time management, and teamwork skills
• Previous travel nurse experience or flexibility adapting to new clinical environments is a plus

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid assessment skills and familiarity with common Med-Surg diagnoses and interventions
• Proficient in medication administration, IV therapy, and wound care
• Comfortable using electronic health records and documenting care accurately
• Effective communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced hospital setting
