Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams (vascular, OB, small parts) with attention to detail and patient comfort
- Execute vascular studies including carotid, ABI and venous protocols according to unit standards
- Provide advanced OB imaging when assigned, delivering clear, diagnostic images and clinical insight
- Document findings accurately in Cerner and archive studies in Philips PACS
- Assist nursing and physicians with procedures such as paracentesis, thoracentesis and biopsies when needed
- Float seamlessly between hospital and outpatient clinic locations to maintain consistent patient care
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and the multidisciplinary care team
Qualifications
- RVT and RDMS registries required (must-have certifications)
- Minimum 2 years of ultrasound/sonography experience (vascular and general/OB exposure preferred)
- Comfortable performing vascular studies: carotid, ABI, venous
- Advanced OB experience required for at least one traveler on the assignment
- Familiarity with Logic E10 and Voluson Expert 22 equipment and Trophon units a plus
- Proficient with Cerner and Philips PACS documentation workflows
- Able to float between hospital and outpatient locations and work collaboratively with staff
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of vascular ultrasound protocols (carotid, ABI, venous)
- Skilled in OB, small parts and general sonography techniques
- Image optimization and troubleshooting on Logic E10 and Voluson systems
- Experience with infection control and Trophon disinfection workflow
- Comfortable documenting in Cerner and managing studies in Philips PACS
- Good patient positioning, communication and procedural assistance skills
