Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to geriatric residents during overnight hours
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility)
- Monitor and report changes in residents’ condition to nursing staff promptly
- Document care accurately and maintain clear communication with the care team
- Support a calm, safe environment overnight and assist with resident comfort needs
- Work collaboratively with nurses and other team members to deliver resident-centered care
Qualifications
- Class: GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) — required
- Comfort and experience working overnight shifts (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
- Compassion, reliability, and strong observational skills
- Ability to follow facility policies and document care clearly
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic resident care and ADL assistance
- Patient observation and reporting
- Safe transfer and mobility techniques
- Infection control and basic safety procedures
- Clear verbal and written communication
- Teamwork and professional bedside manner
