Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing setting
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document per facility policy
- Monitor resident condition and communicate changes promptly to the care team
- Perform thorough and timely documentation in the patient record
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and support staff to create person-centered care plans
- Support safe, dignified daily living activities and promote resident comfort
Qualifications
- Valid LPN license (or RN if applying as Registered Nurse) appropriate for Massachusetts practice
- Current basic life support (BLS) preferred or willingness to obtain
- Comfort working in a skilled nursing/rehabilitation environment
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude
- Ability to work per-diem shifts and adapt to changing assignment needs
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and accurate charting
- Basic nursing assessments and vital sign monitoring
- Familiarity with long-term care and rehabilitation workflows
- Effective communication with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Good time management and prioritization during busy shifts
- Comfort using electronic health records and documentation systems
