Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality anesthesia care across service lines including General, Ortho, GI, Urology, ENT and OB
• Manage perioperative care independently in an inpatient setting
• Document care thoroughly in EPIC and coordinate with surgical teams and nursing
• Perform airway management, regional and general anesthesia techniques as indicated
• Collaborate with attending physicians and OR staff to optimize patient flow and case turnover
• Participate in orientation and site-specific training when required for call coverage

Qualifications

• Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) — active certification required
• Active or eligible Iowa state license to practice as a CRNA
• Experience providing anesthesia for General, Orthopedic, GI, Urology, ENT and OB cases (this practice does not cover head/heart cases)
• Comfortable practicing independently in an inpatient OR environment
• Familiarity with EPIC or similar EMR preferred
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations after completing site training

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program (Master's or Doctoral degree preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong perioperative assessment and anesthesia planning skills
• Proficiency in airway management, regional anesthesia and general anesthesia techniques
• Ability to document and communicate effectively using EPIC
• Team-oriented approach with excellent collaboration skills in the OR
• Ability to manage moderate to high case volumes (typical volume ~50–55 cases/week)
