Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per-diem nights, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC; days of week vary based on facility scheduling (not specified)

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming with dignity and compassion
- Support safe transfers and mobility using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
- Observe, record and report changes in residents’ conditions to licensed nursing staff
- Provide respectful companionship and emotional support to residents and families
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control and safety protocols
- Document care accurately in the facility charting system and participate in handoffs
Qualifications
- Current Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification or equivalent
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Previous experience in long-term care or geriatric settings is a plus
- Ability to work night shifts and adapt to per-diem scheduling
- Compassionate, patient-focused attitude and reliable work ethic
Education
- High school diploma or GED; completion of an accredited GNA program preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of ADLs, transfers, and safe patient handling
- Familiarity with infection control practices and PPE use
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with interdisciplinary staff
- Basic charting and documentation skills; ability to follow care plans
- Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
