Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility safely and respectfully
• Support meal service and document intake as required by facility protocols
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and interventions
• Follow infection control practices and facility policies to protect residents and staff
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to promote resident comfort and well-being

Qualifications

• Valid GNA certification required (Geriatric Nursing Assistant)
• Current state-required documentation and clear background checks
• Comfortable working night shifts and supporting a diverse resident population
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to resident care
• Ability to follow care plans and report observations clearly
• Previous long-term care or assisted living experience is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• GNA certification (required)

• Basic patient care and ADL assistance
• Vital signs monitoring and reporting
• Safe transfer and mobility techniques
• Infection control and standard precautions
• Accurate documentation and charting
• Teamwork, time management, and resident-centered communication
