Location: Brooklyn Park, MD
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per diem (as-needed), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Evening shift (schedule varies based on staffing needs)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living for older adults
- Support residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting while preserving dignity
- Assist nursing staff with routine observations and timely reporting of changes
- Help create a calm, respectful environment that promotes comfort and independence
- Support safe transfers and ambulation following facility protocols
- Document care accurately and communicate clearly with the care team and families
Qualifications
- Current GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification or equivalent
- Comfortable working with older adults and providing hands-on personal care
- Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
- Dependable, compassionate, and a strong team player
- Available for evening per diem shifts and flexible scheduling
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of a GNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of best practices in geriatric care and dementia-friendly approaches
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with residents and families
- Basic clinical skills: safe transfers, feeding assistance, toileting care
- Good observational skills and ability to report changes in condition
- Respectful, patient-centered approach to care
