Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily care to older adults, focusing on dignity and respect
- Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor residents’ condition and promptly report changes to nursing staff
- Accurately document care given and observations in resident records
- Support safe mobility and transfers using proper techniques
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
- Collaborate with the care team to promote individualized resident-centered plans
Qualifications
- GNA certification (Class: GNA) required
- Availability for day shift coverage, particularly 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
- Per-diem flexibility and a team-player attitude
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
- Ability to pass standard background checks and health screenings
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with residents and families
- Basic clinical skills: vital signs, bathing, feeding, toileting assistance
- Familiarity with safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Good observation skills and the ability to notice and report changes
- Comfortable with accurate charting and following care plans
- Infection control awareness and adherence to facility protocols
