Shift Type: Nights, 12-hour shifts, rotating; every other weekend and every other holiday; call/standby with LCD (specific start/end times not provided)

Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and provide compassionate, evidence-based care for medical and surgical patients
- Monitor patient telemetry and confirm monitor-read strips as needed
- Operate and respond to respiratory support equipment such as CPAP, BiPAP and hi-flow
- Chart accurately and efficiently in EPIC to maintain continuity of care
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate safe patient discharges and transitions
- Float between med-surg populations, adapting quickly to different patient needs
- Act as a patient and family educator to support recovery and self-care
- Participate in unit-specific orientation and travel CBO to ensure smooth onboarding
Qualifications
- Active RN license eligible for North Dakota submission (compact license accepted where applicable)
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience
- Experience with telemetry monitoring and monitor strip interpretation preferred
- Familiarity with EPIC charting system
- Comfortable with float pool duties and working night shifts
- Ability to pass facility background checks and required onboarding
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) accepted; BSN not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong med-surg clinical assessment and critical thinking
- Telemetry monitoring and strip confirmation
- Experience with CPAP, BiPAP and hi-flow respiratory support
- Proficiency in EPIC charting and electronic documentation
- Good communication and teamwork skills for float and interdisciplinary work
- Ability to prioritize in a busy acute care setting
