Shift Type: Rotating schedule: 4x10-hour shifts (primary) with acceptance of 5x8-hour option; rotating every third weekend and rotating holidays. Exact start/end times vary by unit/assignment and will be provided by scheduling (day-shift focused rotation). 40-hour guarantee.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality radiologic procedures with patient safety and dignity as top priorities
• Collaborate closely with ED and surgical teams to provide timely imaging support for acute and perioperative patients
• Operate and maintain radiography equipment and ensure routine quality checks
• Accurately document exams and patient information in the Cerner EMR
• Follow radiation safety protocols and uphold ARRT and facility standards
• Assist in patient positioning, education and comfort during imaging procedures
• Participate in departmental performance improvement and continuing education activities

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of X-Ray experience (required)
• ER experience required
• Surgery experience required
• Prior travel (contract) work experience required
• Active Illinois Radiologic Technologist (IL) license (required)
• Active ARRT certification (required)
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification (required)
• Up-to-date skills checklist (within 1 year) and complete work history required
• Applicants within a 50-mile radius of the facility are not eligible; applicants who were direct employees within the last 2 years are not eligible

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of radiologic procedures and X-Ray techniques
• Commitment to patient safety, infection control and radiation protection
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR documentation and workflow
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced ER and surgical settings
• Competence in positioning, trauma imaging and perioperative imaging protocols
• Good communication and teamwork skills with multidisciplinary teams
