Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based critical care to adult ICU patients
• Monitor and interpret hemodynamic data, ventilator settings and lab results
• Administer medications, titrate drips and manage advanced therapies safely
• Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists and the care team to coordinate plans
• Perform timely, accurate documentation and handoffs to maintain continuity of care
• Educate patients and families about conditions, care plans and discharge needs
• Participate in unit-level quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Active RN license (state of assignment or compact) — ensure you meet state requirements
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience (critical care skills required)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
• Comfortable with ventilator management, vasoactive drips and sepsis protocols
• Strong communication, critical thinking and teamwork skills

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN/ASN or BSN). BSN preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

• Advanced assessment and critical thinking in high-acuity settings
• Familiarity with ventilator modes, titration of vasoactive medications and hemodynamic monitoring
• Proficient with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
• Ability to prioritize multiple complex patients while maintaining safety
• Calm, decisive performance during codes and rapid response situations
