Roles & Responsibilities

• Direct the operation of the hospital during assigned hours, ensuring smooth functioning across inpatient units and ancillary departments
• Lead and support nursing staff through change, modeling clinical expertise and professional behavior
• Make prompt, high-quality clinical decisions in acute, emergency and trauma situations
• Supervise staff assignments, manage staffing systems, and ensure appropriate coverage for patient care
• Resolve conflicts and provide fair, consistent application of policies and contractual requirements
• Coordinate with support departments to maintain operational flow and high standards of patient safety
• Maintain dependable work schedules and motivate team members through example and positive leadership

Qualifications

• Must be an RN with a current Massachusetts RN license
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) — required
• ACLS (AHA) required
• BLS (AHA) required
• Minimum 1-2 years of leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
• Experience in emergency/trauma and critical care situations preferred
• Demonstrated conflict resolution skills and interpersonal effectiveness
• Traveler must have their own vehicle and include permanent address in profile
• Provide 1 supervisory signed reference from within the past two years, current work history, skills checklist (within 1 year), and uploaded licenses/certifications

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) - required
• Documentation of continuing education and professional growth required

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical decision-making in acute care settings
• Staff supervision and personnel management
• Hospital and acute care operations knowledge
• Emergency and trauma handling skills
• Familiarity with staffing systems and staffing coordination
• Strong interpersonal communication and conflict resolution abilities
