Roles & Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing activities across the facility to maintain high-quality care
• Provide direct patient care during the night shift, prioritizing safety and comfort
• Ensure compliance with long-term care regulations and facility policies
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team members to support individualized care plans
• Mentor and support nursing staff and nursing assistants on best practices
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes
• Respond promptly to clinical emergencies and escalate concerns appropriately
• Lead quality improvement efforts related to nighttime operations and patient safety

Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado or ability to obtain state licensure
• Experience in long-term care settings; supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts and managing a team overnight
• Strong communication, leadership, and clinical decision-making skills
• Ability to pass background check and any facility-required screenings

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of long-term care practices, resident-centered care, and regulatory requirements
• Skilled in patient assessment, medication administration, and wound care basics
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
• Ability to lead and coach nursing staff during night operations
• Strong critical thinking, prioritization, and emergency response abilities
• Good interpersonal skills for collaborating with families and care teams
