Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the direction of a Physical Therapist, delivering compassionate, evidence-based interventions
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, gait training, and use of assistive devices
• Monitor and document patient progress accurately and timely in the medical record
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safe functional techniques
• Collaborate with PTs, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate high-quality care
• Contribute to discharge planning and recommendations to optimize patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Licensed or eligible for PTA licensure in Washington (ability to obtain state license required prior to start)
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Prior experience in outpatient, inpatient rehab, or post-acute settings preferred
• Strong communication skills and a patient-focused attitude

Education

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in therapeutic exercise, transfers, and gait training
• Knowledgeable in safety, fall prevention, and assistive device training
• Proficient with documentation and charting best practices
• Able to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary care team
• Good time management, organization, and patient education skills
