Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents at Casa Del Sol Center
- Assess, monitor and document patient status including vitals, symptoms and response to treatment
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the care team
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Communicate clearly with patients, families and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
- Educate patients and families about condition management, medications and follow-up care
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Respond to changes in patient condition promptly and escalate concerns when needed
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — New Mexico RN or compact license preferred
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS or other certifications a plus
- Comfortable working in long-term care/rehab settings; prior RN experience preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and ability to work as part of a team
- Current immunizations and compliance with facility onboarding requirements
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of nursing fundamentals, medication administration and wound care
- Ability to perform patient assessments and interpret clinical data
- Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
- Skilled at patient and family education, care coordination and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Time management, prioritization and the ability to respond calmly in urgent situations
