Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during the night shift
• Perform thorough assessments and ongoing monitoring to keep patients safe overnight
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on schedule
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and communicate changes
• Document patient care, assessments and interventions in the electronic medical record promptly
• Respond to night-time emergencies and escalate concerns to providers as appropriate
• Support transitions of care during handoff to day teams with clear, concise reports

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (must be valid in New Mexico or eligible for compact licensure)
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS and specialty certifications encouraged
• Previous acute care or long-term care RN experience preferred
• Comfortable with night-shift responsibilities, critical thinking, and independent decision making
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a diverse care team

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) acceptable

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and monitoring skills for adult and/or geriatric populations
• Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and thorough documentation practices
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple patients during night hours
• Basic wound care, infection control, and safety protocols
