Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to residents and patients following established care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately while documenting appropriately
• Monitor patient status, assess changes, and escalate concerns to the care team in a timely manner
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient-centered care
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and facility standards

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or compact RN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications such as ACLS or PALS are a plus
• Current clinical experience in direct patient care; prior skilled nursing or long-term care experience preferred
• Ability to pass facility-required screenings and background checks
• Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
• Charting and electronic medical record familiarity
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and care teams
