Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents at Casa Del Sol Center
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor changes in condition
• Document care clearly and timely in the medical record to support continuity
• Collaborate with nurses, providers, and support staff to deliver coordinated care
• Educate residents and families with empathy and clear communication
• Maintain infection control standards and a safe, clean care environment

Qualifications

• Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license — New Mexico license or eligibility to obtain
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening
• Comfort with long-term care/skilled nursing environments; strong clinical judgment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; dependable and professional

Education

• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program (LPN diploma or certificate)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with medication administration and safety protocols
• Strong resident assessment skills: vitals, skin/wound checks, and ADL support
• Accurate documentation and charting to support clinical decisions
• Infection prevention practices and safe patient handling
• Time management and prioritization in a busy care setting
• Compassionate bedside manner and clear family communication
