Roles & Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately as directed
• Monitor and document patient conditions, reporting changes promptly
• Provide hands-on nursing care including vital signs, wound care and ADLs
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians and interdisciplinary team members to deliver excellent care
• Educate patients and families in a compassionate, clear manner
• Maintain accurate, timely charting and follow infection control standards
• Support a positive, patient-centered environment that promotes dignity and respect

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in New Mexico (required)
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willing to obtain upon start
• Comfortable with medication administration, IV observation and basic wound care
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Ability to pass facility background check and drug screening
• Previous LPN experience preferred but enthusiastic, newly licensed clinicians are welcome to apply

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing or Vocational Nursing program
• LPN diploma or certificate

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment and basic nursing interventions
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Infection prevention, safe patient handling and bedside care
• Effective communication with patients, families and care teams
• Familiarity with electronic charting and basic computer skills
• Time management and prioritization in a busy long-term care setting
