Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents at Casa Del Sol Center
• Administer medications and document treatments accurately and timely
• Monitor and record vital signs, noticing changes and escalating when needed
• Collaborate with the care team to develop and follow individualized care plans
• Perform wound care, basic procedures, and routine assessments with confidence
• Educate residents and families about care plans and promote patient comfort

Qualifications

• Current, active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license valid in New Mexico
• Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification (current)
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility immunization requirements
• Comfortable with medication administration, documentation, and basic procedures
• Strong communication skills and a teamwork mentality

Education

• Completion of an accredited LPN/lVocational Nursing program or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and safe documentation practices
• Basic assessment skills: vitals, pain assessment, and reporting changes
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate charting
• Infection control practices and safe patient handling
• Patient education, empathy, and clear communication with families and staff
