Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care in a long-term care setting
• Administer medications accurately and document medication records thoroughly
• Perform routine assessments and monitor changes in patient condition
• Assist with activities of daily living and support resident comfort and dignity
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow facility policies and infection control standards
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with residents and families, educating as needed

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in New Mexico, or eligible to obtain licensure prior to start
• Successful completion of an accredited LPN/LVN training program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Comfort working in long-term care or skilled nursing environments, experience preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, dependable attendance, and a collaborative mindset

Education

• Completion of an accredited LPN/LVN program
• Vocational diploma or certificate in practical nursing

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and accurate charting
• Clinical assessment and monitoring of vital signs
• Infection prevention and safe patient care practices
• Electronic medical record familiarity and documentation skills
• Clear communication, teamwork, and time management
• Ability to respond to changing patient needs with professionalism
