Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care to residents at Casa Del Sol Center
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely according to orders
• Monitor and document vital signs, patient status, and changes in condition
• Collaborate with RNs and the interdisciplinary team to deliver excellent care
• Educate patients and families about care plans and promote patient autonomy
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the facility’s charting system
• Promote a safe environment by following infection control and facility policies

Qualifications

• Active LPN license (Licensed Practical Nurse) — New Mexico licensure preferred or ability to obtain
• Completion of an accredited practical nursing program (LPN diploma or certificate)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification — or willingness to obtain promptly
• Prior LPN experience preferred; new graduates who meet licensing requirements are encouraged to apply
• Strong communication skills and comfort working as part of a team in long-term care

Education

• Diploma or certificate from an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN) program
• High school diploma or GED

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in medication administration, patient assessment, and basic nursing procedures
• Comfortable taking and interpreting vital signs and reporting changes
• Good clinical documentation and charting practices
• Knowledge of infection prevention, safety protocols, and resident-centered care
• Able to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and collaborate with nursing staff
