Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to older adults to maintain dignity and comfort
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing and mobility support
• Monitor resident condition and report changes to the clinical team promptly
• Support mealtime assistance and ensure proper nutrition and hydration
• Document care accurately and maintain confidentiality of resident information
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team to deliver person-centered care
• Create a warm, respectful environment that promotes independence and quality of life

Qualifications

• Current GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification required
• Active placement on the state nursing assistant registry as applicable
• Ability to work the listed day shift (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM)
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
• Clear background check and TB screening per facility requirements
• Reliable, compassionate approach with strong patient-focused ethics

Education

• High school diploma or GED required; additional healthcare-related coursework a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of geriatric care principles and common age-related conditions
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with residents and families
• Safe patient handling and mobility assistance techniques
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Ability to follow care plans and verbal/written instructions
• Teamwork and adaptability in a fast-paced clinical environment
