Shift Type: Night shift (days may vary), 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to geriatric residents, assisting with activities of daily living like bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Observe and report changes in resident condition promptly to nursing staff to ensure safe, timely interventions
- Perform routine vital signs, documentation, and assist with feeding and nutrition support as directed
- Create a warm, respectful environment that promotes dignity, independence, and comfort for older adults
- Support safe transfers and ambulation, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and the care team to follow care plans and improve resident outcomes
- Maintain cleanliness and infection control standards in resident rooms and common areas
Qualifications
- GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification or equivalent required
- Active/valid state-required certifications and registrations as applicable
- CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Comfortable working with geriatric populations and assisting with ADLs
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Prior long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred but new grads with solid training are welcome
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a GNA training program or equivalent certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of geriatric care principles and common age-related conditions
- Ability to perform safe resident transfers and use of mobility aids
- Accurate vital signs measurement and basic clinical observation skills
- Documentation skills and familiarity with electronic charting or paper records
- Infection control practices and safe hygiene procedures
- Compassionate interpersonal skills and de-escalation techniques
