Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, supporting dignity and comfort
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Take and record vital signs, and report changes in condition to nursing staff
• Support mealtime and feeding assistance while monitoring dietary needs
• Maintain clear, accurate documentation and communicate effectively with the care team
• Promote a safe, clean environment by following infection control and safety protocols
• Engage residents in meaningful social interactions and support emotional well-being

Qualifications

• Current GNA certification (required)
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtained upon hire
• Comfortable and experienced working with older adults, including dementia care
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Ability to pass facility-required background checks and health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an accredited GNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in basic nursing tasks: vital signs, ADL assistance, and resident transfers
• Knowledge of infection control and safe patient handling practices
• Familiarity with documentation standards and care plan communication
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced long-term care environment
