Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to geriatric residents with dignity and respect
• Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing and feeding
• Monitor and record vital signs and resident observations accurately
• Support safe mobility and fall prevention through attentive assistance
• Maintain clear, timely documentation in resident charts and communicate changes
• Collaborate with nurses and the care team to deliver person-centered care
• Follow infection control, safety protocols and facility policies at all times

Qualifications

• Current certified Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) credential required
• Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Comfortable supporting older adults with personal care and mobility needs
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen and required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved GNA training program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of basic geriatric care and dignity-centered approach
• Basic clinical skills including vital signs and safe transfer techniques
• Familiarity with documentation best practices and electronic charting
• Excellent interpersonal skills with residents, families and staff
• Good time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
