Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to geriatric residents, supporting activities of daily living with dignity
• Monitor and record vital signs and resident conditions accurately and promptly
• Assist nursing staff with care plans and document changes in resident status
• Communicate clearly with residents, families, and team members to ensure coordinated care
• Support safe mobility and fall-prevention measures, using proper body mechanics
• Participate in team huddles and contribute to a positive, resident-centered environment

Qualifications

• Active GNA certification (required)
• Experience or strong interest in geriatric care and working with older adults
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening as required by facility
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Reliable, compassionate, and able to work night shifts with a team-first attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with ADLs (bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting)
• Comfortable taking and recording vital signs and observing clinical changes
• Familiarity with dementia-related behaviors and gentle de-escalation techniques
• Strong communication and documentation habits
• Team-oriented with good time management and prioritization skills
