Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adults in the assigned unit
- Assess and monitor patient conditions, documenting changes and escalating when needed
- Administer medications and treatments safely and in line with physician orders
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in the patient record
- Respond effectively to emergencies and participate in unit-based quality improvement
- Follow infection control and safety standards to protect patients and staff
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (preferred or obtain upon hire)
- Prior acute care or med-surg experience is a plus
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to pass facility background checks and meet onboarding requirements
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
- BSN preferred but ADN graduates are encouraged to apply
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills
- Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
- Accurate clinical documentation and charting habits
- Time management and prioritization in a busy setting
- Teamwork, critical thinking, and bedside manner that puts patients first
- Familiarity with standard hospital policies and infection control practices
