Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during night shifts
• Perform thorough assessments, document care, and communicate changes to the care team
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and in a timely manner
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care plans
• Respond to patient needs and emergencies with confidence and clinical judgment
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up needs
• Support unit goals by participating in shift handoffs and quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or eligibility for licensure upon hire
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS) preferred where applicable
• Clinical experience in acute care settings is preferred but new grads with strong clinical training are welcome to apply
• Ability to pass required background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-first attitude

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid assessment and critical thinking skills for night-shift patient management
• Proficiency with medication administration and electronic health record documentation
• Familiarity with standard nursing procedures and infection control practices
• Ability to triage, escalate, and coordinate care across the interdisciplinary team
• Time management and prioritization skills to manage workload during overnight hours
• Compassionate bedside manner and clear, professional communication with patients and families
